Sweep and Spray
When caring for your natural stone patio, the first task you should complete is to sweep your structure thoroughly. You want to get rid of any leaves or debris that is on your patio especially during the fall. You want to make sure any dirt or debris doesn’t stain your patio, making cleaning more difficult. Once you have swept your patio, you want to rinse it down with a hose.
Remove Stains
If you eat on your patio or have an outdoor kitchen, it is critical to remove any spills immediately. If you happen to have any stains on your patio, you need to remove them with mild dish soap and water. All you need to do is put the dish soap over the stain and rub over it with a scrub brush. Once the stain is gone, rinse over the area with a hose. If the dish soap fails to remove the stain, the use a solution containing a small amount of ammonia or bleach and water.
